National Urban Fora and Platforms: International experiences on how to mobilise key constituencies and partners for a National Urban Agenda

This thematic session will showcase how national governments can successively establish National Urban Fora and Platforms to mobilise key constituencies and partners for a common National Urban Agenda for Cites. It analyses comparatively cases from Germany, Ghana, Chile and Indonesia, which are complemented by reflections from local government associations. The expected outcome of the session is a deepened understanding among stakeholders of different levels on how to begin or continue with national urban fora and platforms as a key element to foster a better national enabling environment for cities.
